If anyone is interested in finding cheap and decent forum before heading out onto the roads as a new driver, I'd recommend getting a car insurance quote first. Quotes are for cars, motorcycles, trucks, vans and just about anything with an engine and wheels.

A slippery slope, so cover your bases
The above-mentioned incident is most unfortunate, and one that I've wondered about myself. I am an office worker, yet what would happen if I were to have an accident en route to the one business meeting I happen to attend during the course of a given year? Sure, if I purposefully misinform my insurer and neglect to mention that I am a travelling sales rep, there would be grounds for a claim not being settled, but what about a quick run home during lunch time?
My guess is that it would be prudent to pose this question to a prospective insurer when you're requesting a car insurance quote from them, and to get a reference for the call when you get a satisfactory answer. Best get it on paper!

Warning Motorists: Dial Direct cheats consumers
I had a car accident on my way from my home to a team building event on the 14th of July.
My car was a write-off.
Dial Direct repudiated my claim clinging to the description that I used when reporting the accident.
During my disoriented state, I said I was attending a one-time offsite meeting at Alpine Heath, but made it clear that I had never been there before and that this event happened annually at different places.
Dial Direct refused the claim on the basis of stating it was a business meeting, while my car was insured for private use and going from my home to the office. I explained to them that it was a team-building event hence classified under social events which was valid, but they refused to listen to me - specifically Shaun Rosslee (Team Manager: Loss Adjusting, Telesure Group Services, Pretoria Region).
So I am disgusted by Dial Direct's behavior. The like taking consumer's instalments, and when one needs their help, they refuse. This is horrible and disgusting, and other motorists should be aware when dealing with Dial Direct.
